This meditative practice is also known as enlightened sleep. You lie down on your back or create a “nest” that best serves you in the practice. It is a deeply restorative type of practice. The science behind Yoga Nidra is that through professional guidance, you will rest in a space of effortless awareness. It is a transformative and blissful practice.
A class for everyone. A slower and more meditative practice that targets your deep connective tissues including your fascia, ligaments, joints and bones, The postures are held for a longer period of time while focusing on the breath. It is a truly healing practice that helps open blockages and releases stagnant energy. Yin, Release and Restore, Spirit Yin and Candlelight Yin are types of Yin classes.
YIN AND TONIC/CANDLELIGHT YIN
A weekly class that is a perfect way to end the week. It is our own special happy hour. We combine the practice of Yin with another healing modality. Typically we use sound healing but have offered other ways to calm the mind, body and soul.
Restorative yoga is similar to yin yoga. We then add various props including blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps. These props help to support you in the postures. We take the time to set up each posture to provide the individual support you will need. We then layer breathwork, meditation and other healing practices to complete the experience.
This is a very special offering here at Dancing Lion Studio. During pregnancy, special care and attention needs to be given as safe practices. We offer a class that helps expectant Moms to accommodate and support their changing bodies. The class allows for different movements within each trimester. There is also the opportunity to bond with the baby and time to share with other Moms-to-be.
Children love to practice yoga! It is a truly wholesome way to teach cooperation, mindfulness, social skills, emotional intelligence and physical skills to your kids. They learn about the poses, breathing techniques, balance, sharing, caring and more!

We offer various opportunities to experience the power of sound healing. Using crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, drums, chimes and more to allow for the most immersive experience. When different sound vibrations and frequencies are created, it impacts the body helping to promote deep relaxation and relieves stress and anxiety.
